No monitoring when count in metronome ?

Hi there, I am looking for the simplest way to be able to record, use the metronome, with the "count in" function, but be able to "monitor" my recording before it actually starts... For some reason, as soon as the count in starts, the "input monitoring" seems to be disabled, meaning I can not, for example, try a chord before or check my sound during the count in... frustrating... is this normal and is there a workaround ?

Thanks guys... That's a bug then, or a FR I guess... My motivation with Reaper now is to try to learn it so that I can do like all these "beatmakers" who use their Fantom X6 and record loops by layering several tracks at the speed of light. They usually have a very loud metronome, with count in, and during the countin, they often try the sound, or check the position of their hand on the keyboard :) I have planned to buy an Axiom 49 controller, it will be there in two months (birthday, ouch, turning 37 !), and I am learning how to improve my "workflow" in Reaper. I have already understood that as everything is sooo configurable, I'll be able to control exactly what I want from the Axiom. Good news !! But sad for the countin, as I expected to simply press some keys to perform a "go back - arm next track - record" get the countin, quickly check the sound, and record.

Bump for input monitoring to be enabled during count in. Option box in the metronome perhaps?
