My Mac is giving me a type 2 error and freezing when it tries to launch OMS. Sometimes it won't even give an error message and will just lock up. I have reinstalled OMS and trashed all of the preferences that could have anything to do with pro-tools, and it still locks up. I am running PT LE 5.1 with MAC OS 9.0.4. Any ideas?

Also, a long shot, but I have heard of people having problems with OMS and QT Deluxe. Just a thought....
OK, do this: Download Tech Tool lite which replace Tech Tool 1.2.1. ...then go to PRAM choose Clear/Zap PRAM end after go to Desktop and choose Delete / Rebuild Desktop. You may trashed again all of the preferences "that could have anything to do with pro-tools"....before that. That should fix-it. God luck!/P.
i had that problem once : when i opened OMS i got type 2 errors or freezes..... the problem was that OMS loaded some drivers (my ADAT OMS driver) while my adat pci wasn`t even there anymore .... so it got in a conflict .... it worked if my ADAT PCI was inserted .... so check your OMS drivers folder and see what you`re not using and put it in another folder outside OMS.... that might solve the problem.
Thanks Man! That was definately the problem. I had a Unity DS-1 OMS driver that was still being loaded, even though I deleted the program and extensions months ago. Kinda strange though how it just started acting up a few days ago. Anyways, thanks a bunch.

Actually, that ended up not being the problem. the reason it kept freezing was because I had my nord modular pc in/out hooked up to the digi interface. For some reason, probably because of the massive amounts of data that is constantly flowing through the modular pc port, it was messing up OMS. Just thought I'd update the problem.
When I asked what's your MIDI interface, I did it with a .....reason. Now, how in the name of...(MIDI?), are you using a controller and modular PC I/O in the same time on a single MIDI I/O (Digi 001....)? It's god to come with complete info when you need help. The last 2 months I've learn quite a lot about OMS, MIDI on a Mac, etc... in my attempt to switch from ...Atari. God it works now for you, though.
