Estate child seats - mounting points

Just getting sorted with my new estate. Mounting points have been added for seatbelts in relation to the childseats that fold away into the compartment at the back. If I remove these are there blanking plates / plugs that can be fitted?

Do you mean the ones that bolt through the wheel arches? You can either just fit a nut and bolt with a large washer, or get a standard rubber grommet of the right size. But the carpet will have been squashed flat on the inside, and quite probably stained with rust from the bracket, so it will never be quite pristine. There are also other holes punctured in the headlining in order to access the upper mounting points, and rear grab handle if fitted. I'm not sure what you can do about them - try and glue them up or fit a dummy bolt with washer perhaps.

Hi Ian If I remember correctly this is a three point set up. If removing these I either put bolts back through the holes or use some body selant to fill the holes. I don't fnow of any blankers. Mike

Thanks guys - I suspected as much - I figure I can cap the holes with 'off white' plastic dics for the headlining and I'll have a think about the ones lower down. Just wanted to check there werent specific blanking grommets etc before I went to the trouble!
