i know thats a really stupid question, answer is problably no, but i was just wondering because i want to upmix my home videos, but the camcorder records in mono (from 2000, sony CCD-trv37).

Why you wanna up-mix it... :confused: Coz of DVD compliance maybe ??? AFAIK, DVD standard supports also mono (1ch) AC3 !!! Bye

I think it is possible to insert some reverberation in mono files using and encode to ac3 using BeSweet. Check sox documentation for reverbration...:)
