ASIO crashes Reaper

Under Audio device settings, whenever I select ASIO, Reaper closes and I get the windows msg. "Reaper has encountered an problem and needs to close...etc..." The funny thing is, this is a recently acquired Dell XPS 600 machine that I got from work. It has XP Pro installed. I just got it and updated it to SP3. I'm using a Delta 1010LT with the latest driver that worked fine in my other machine (XP Pro). The new machine has a GeForce 7800GTX video card, if that matters. What should I look for?

I Found it 

There was another ASIO controller installed on the box. I deleted it and I'm good. Thanks for inspiring me.

The Delta 1010 belongs to the most stable cards I've ever used (good old PCI), so there should have been no problem with the card itself. Even in XP SP3 I have enough of good experiences with them (several of them) so you should keep having fun with your system !
