A very disappointed Digidesign user

Hallo Digidesign, I'm sorry I just can't keep my mouth shut anymore but since using OS X and ProTools 6.0/6.0.1 I'm getting so many errors (-6028/-6039/-9035) and strange messages (unable to create dae deck). For a professional user who is using your products for almost 10 years now and being dependant on their reliability this is absolutely not acceptable. I wish I've never would have moved to ProTools 6. I'm very disappointed and it will take you great effort to gain back my trust in your products.

I think that that's what you and anyone else can expect from an x.0 version. I ALWAYS wait until there is a .1 .3 or .5 version to keep the bugs out! I never expect software to run flawless when it's brand new despite the professional rep. But people are curious,I understand,but I also understand that even a top-notch company like this one are no gods...

Christmas vacation would be a good time to dive into ProTools 6 (or 6.1x which ever comes first). I just don't see anything new that's worth the hassle now. As someone who's been using Digi stuff for 10 years, I'm sure you know the drill. Digi''s hand was forced by Apple and I'm sure it was a real pain to get Pro Tools ported over as well as they did in the time they did.

"Unable to create DAE deck". Go to your System Prefs, the Sound panel. Choose the "Output" tab. Do you have Digi equipment selected or "Built-in Audio Controller"? If you have Digi equipment selected, you must quit all other sound-using programs before launching PT, because Core Audio Units can't share sound outputs. Good luck, J
