Ideal Memory Allocation?

Let's say you have 2*512 and 1*256 memory in a Dual 1gig. What would be the ideal memory allocation for Pro Tools and DAE, considering that you are using plugs like STYLUS and ATMOSPHERE (though not at the same time) and anticipate using a sampler like MACH 5 when it's released? I've got DAE at 200,000 right now but wonder if it needs more for all of this. I realize in OSX I won't have to worry about all this, but I'm still in 9.2 right now....thanks for the input.....

There is such a thing as too much memory allocated to PT. Based on that I would stick with 200k-256k unless you start getting insufficient memory messages. If so, increase at increments of 32k until you find the magic number.

Since I use battery with a lot of samples, I have mine set to 800,000. It works great! Goodluck, John
