Clutch Judder

Hi, I have a S60 D5 from new, 04 with 56K. I have noticed that in addition to it being difficult to engage 1st and reverse that it is difficult to move off from a standstill without a juddering, almost like a 2 stage clutch. Has anyone experienced the problem or know what it is. Still on the original pads and discs (must be due a change at next service though!!! - is this a record? Thanks Richard

As to the brakes, not sure about the pads but the discs should keep on going well beyond that milage. Check out how much genuine replacements cost if you want to know why :D Cheers, J

Replaced both the flywheel and the clutch, although the clutch was a precaution to avoid another seven hours labour in case that was faulty too.

wow that sounds like a really big job! what were the symptoms you described to the dealership, I just get it on 1st gear pulling away from junctions etc. RG
