I'd like to be bigger !........

Hi all, Got your attention right ! No funny remarks though ! Basically, I have the 854 T5 with the original alloys and tyres. The size is 205-50-16. Without any problems could I fit a slightly wide tyre and would I have to drop the profile size to accomodate this? E.G. 215-45-16 I guess 215-50-16 would be too tall and rub? OK, I have spoken to a few tyre suppliers and they say that my current tyre 205/50-16 has a rolling radius of 612 and that if I fit 225/45-16 the rolling radius would be 608. So being only 4mm out this should not affect the speedo too much ? The only problem I can see is the fact that these would be 20mm wide and therefore could rub on full lock. Any other thoughts ? Ahhh...never thought of sports springs do they really help traction that much? What is the cost of Race logic and Sports springs? How do wider tyres give less traction in WET ? IceMan
