2.99 alpha preview 4 MIDI monitoring issue

EDIT: POSTED IN THE BUGS THREAD -- You can ignore this. Hi- I'm now hearing both the selected track's output channel and whatever channel is physically selected on my Motif together whenever I play a note. I have the track in REAPER set to Monitoring, Not Recording. This doesn't happen with the same project in 2.53. I hear only the part I'm monitoring on the selected track. Thanks- -Susan

Hi- Can anyone with a hardware synth confirm this behavior before I put it in the bugs thread? I want to make sure it's not User error. I can post the project, but I don't know if it would help, since there's no content in it whatsoever -- it's just a MIDI/Audio setup for the Motif. Needless to say this is a pretty big deal(!), so I'd be happy to hear I have something set wrong, although I can't think what it would be. There should be no output except to the channel specified in the I/O. As I said, it works fine in 2.53. Thanks- -Susan

I'm impatient -- yes! But please tell me this is User error or it will be fixed. Otherwise, I won't be able to use REAPER going forward, and there's obviously no love here for hardware synths. -Susan

Sorry, Susan, no external to test here at the mo. I dearly hope there`s a solution to this. If you get different behaviour in 2.53 and 2.99 alpha that feels buggy, you should indeed place it into the bugs thread. Let's hope others chime in soon.
