Every time I try to record audio, I get a popup informing me that "Reaper cannot write the record file...does the directory exist......." Strangely enough I have no problems recording MIDI information and saving it into the project, but audio is a no go. What's happening, any ideas? The Default recording path is (I suspect) the problem. I've tried a number of things, creating new folders, but I can't seem to fix this.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think Reaper is recognizing the file path I've specified to write files to. The file names are the same as I've always used, this has only happened recently, this week. Before this ,I've had no problems. I really don't get it. My preferences folder looks like this.
Does the drive letter exist? :) Note, the file path you specify in that dialog is only used for unsaved projects, with no project recording path configured. If you are having problems with a specific project, check the path to that project, and also look in file/project settings to see if there is a path specified there.
