ffdshow will not playback some DiVX 3 content. It gets garbled if I use ffdshow as a playback filter for this particular file and any other file encoded by this fansubbing group. According to AVI Info it's encoded in Div3 MPEG4 Cracked ;) I have no problems playing back this kind of content normally. It plays back perfectly however if I disable ffdshow from playing back DiVX3 content. I have tried different players. Installing the Nimo codec pack and nothing helps. Here are a couple of screencaps to show what is happening. This 1st capture is with ffdshow enabled to playback DiVX3 content for this file. This is how it looks when captured with ffdshow disabled for DiVX3 content and DiVX5.02 enabled for playback. I have also included a 1 meg video only sample from the video file concerned for anyone else to download (Particularly the author of ffdshow if he is reading). It can be downloaded I have a Matrox G400 Max 32 dual head video card with latest drivers in WinXP Pro. As stated. All other DiVX3 content plays back fine with ffdshow. But I do not wish to keep coming across this problem and having to disable ffdshow for DiVX3 content everytime it happens.
cho-bi-tsu ^_^ Looks like the version thats floating around on kazaa, but thats not a weird size (640x480 in fact) out of curiosity howd yours get to be 636x476 anyway?
Strange, if i see the clip with wmp it looks weird, like the fist screenshot; But in zoom player it looks normal, of course the both cases using ffdshow.
I was wondering what caused that problem, I just changed the fourcc code to mp43 and let that filter work on its own.
