I support this as well. Not because I need this special action, but because some intelligent selection possibilities would go a long way. I just hope that when the devs finally dive into the MID event selection stuff there will be some more of a similar kind done. - In the same realm falls eg "select all notes of the same pitch class", which would help selecting, say, all notes "G" in any octave. So if you have played something in C major but want to have it in C minor you can easily do that without spotting through the entire item for "G"s to lower them. - Another one would be "select all events on same measure position" eg you have a note selected on the offbeat "2and", all events that fall on "2and" in any measure get selected. A window setting would be needed, so it doesn't only work on hard-quantized stuff I'd also like a marquee select on the CC (and velocity) lanes. If the red border on you pic was the marqee, all the velocities (and in case of velocity also the notes of course) that fall inside that rectangle would be selected. Reason: I almost never have multiple notes with exactly the same velocity. This method would allow to select similar velocities and cc value ranges. This would be a nice chance to bump up the MIDI Action Show thread, your "select notes with same velocities" action makes a nice #80 in that list :) I just checked and didn't find it requested in there yet. please mind to read the first post. No pics needed in that thread, just a descriptive name for the action. Ah, heck I just bumped that thread up. Selection is underrepresented there.
