Hello, I am backing up my DVD of Resident Evil and all was going fine until it finished encoding. I am using CCE 2.5 with Multipass VBR = 4, and when it completed, Dvd2svcd did not go onto the next stage in the process. I believe it's Cutting and Muxing with bbMpeg, but I'm not certain. I tried Recover, but it didn't log that the encoding was complete. I was wondering if there was a way for me to continue the process manually. Since I'm not an expert in this field, I don't know what programs to use to continue, or any of the settings to use. Secondly, I would like to thank everyone in this forum for all their great support. I have solved many of my problems from the replies provided by many of the moderators and senior members. I recently had a problem with CCE freezes, and this board solved that problem. So again, thank you all for being so kind.
if you go into your folder where its all saved do you have the full mpv file and the mp2 file then you can get bbmpeg gui and combine the 2 and have it cut the way you want. look at that link and look towards the end after the video and sound are already created.
I followed the instructions on that link but when I press the "Start Encoding" button a window opens, scrolls really fast and then brings me back to the main bbmpeg window again. Am I doing something wrong??

if you have a player that plays svcd can you play the mpv file as is (of course it will have no sound) because bbmpeg should take somewhat more time then that. also thru that post it should take you here
I played the mpv file in Windows Media Player and it was perfect all the way through. Should I somehow load the mpv and mp2 files in bbmpeg before I press the "Start Encoding" button?? I did find that link, but I couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'm just stupid or something. People like you have to have pretty awesome patience to put up with people like me. Thanks a bunch!!
Just a note gameking: First of all, you should think through a post thoroughly before you make it to ensure you didn't forget anything. But if you did forget something, edit your previous post to include it, another post is not necessary. Nobody likes a topic with 8 replies, 6 of which are by the author ;) Just a little netiquette tip for you.
