1885 or 1855cc ?

Hi all, As per a similar thread on engine size: (1855cc or 1948cc) I've just brought a '98 V40 T4 CD back to Ireland from the UK. According to the Vehicle Registration Tax office here, the engine size is 1885cc. I have also recieved the new Registration Certificate (RF101) for the car and that also states 1885cc. Now, I'm aware it's 1855cc, the V5C (which they now have) states 1855cc and it's insured as an 1855cc engine. The code on the cam belt cover is B4194T. I just need to convince the licencing authority that it's 1855cc......any ideas folks? Liam...

Liam, Just checked on Autodata it says your engine is 1855cc on a 98 T4 with that engine code! Cheers

fill each cylinder with water at BDC and then turn the motor over, 1855 cc of water will come out... make sure you do this in their office... that should make it clear to them.... seriously who cares 1855 1948cc... bloody bureaucrats.... anyway hope that helped.....
