To be honest Des, if the problem hasn't come to light by now (ie unexplained coolant losses) then the chances are the block is sound unless it's a very low mileage one. You're right that it was the pre mid '93 ish blocks that suffered - being 14+ years old if they're still going strong then the chances are they're ok.

Hi, Yea, I suppose if the engine is still running then there shouldn't be an issue.. :) I believe Dave Pengelly knows of one which does weep - slightly - and which is still going.. Des. . . ;)
