Hi Beer, this isn't weird at all. If you go to "Preferences -> Editing Behavior" you see at the top "Volume fader range" which is typically set to -72 to +12 dB. On the same side you find at the bottom under "Envelopes" "Volume envelope range" which is set to -inf to +6 dB. Maybe you change this. HTH! -Data
thanks. i do think it is weird though... on all other sequencers i have worked with, max volume on the graph, means mx volume on fader.. oh well-- thanks!!
That might be because the other daw envelopes control the faders. Reaper gives you different options, it's cleverer than just simply automating the fader - but I guess you could call it weird too :)
Thanks so much for the link! Even though I already knew about 80 percent of the things he does, it is still a great summary! I didn't know about the trim/read thing, which is perfect for me since I just got a BCF and I don't want all the faders to go crazy all the time and the normal read function made them for mixing purposes useless. Thanks! kons ps: There should be a thread where all links to nice vids like that are collected! If there is already a thread like that, make it sticky! If it is already sticky, I'm blind, sorry!
