Volvo 940 Remote central locking

i tried fitting an after market kit that for some reason will not work, heres how it works currently it will not operate the drivers door solenoid at all if the drivers door is unlocked the other doors can be locked but will not lock the drivers door and will not unlock, if the drivers door is locked the other doors will unlock but will not lock again same the drivers solenoid will not operate at all

I'm not sure if this is the same for the 940, but on 740s there isn't a solenoid on the drivers door. It sounds like its the same on your car too.

well by the looks of it there is a solenoid ive just looked but it isnt wired up so il whip it out and have look if not il grab a solenoid off a scrappy from the passenger side

well just to give an update the 940 drivers side does not have a central locking motor it does look like one it is only a switch so im going to see if the 960 has a switch/motor on drivers side in the scrappy local to me hopefully it will if still i come up with nothing il see if a mk3 astra central locking will fit in it
