Possible E bay scam?

Hi, just thought I warn you all that this car for sale on ebay *could* be a potential scam. For a start he's used a picture of my bl@@dy car! I can never understand why people who sell things on ebay think they will sell them without a picture of *their* item. It always seems a bit fishy to me. Even though he does state that the car shown in the ad isn't the one for sale, but he has pictures he can email you if your interested? hmmmn.... :scratchchin: Few other things as far as I know the MY99-2000 R AWD cars (in Laser blue etc..) have 265bhp engines, not 250bhp and the inlays around the dashboard/centre console are in silver anodised effect, not "dark walnut". Anyway hope I'm wrong but wouldn't want anyone to get their fingers burnt. Oh, and Happy New Year!

Big H There are a couple of mistakes, like June 2000 would be model year 2000, available from Sept 1999 (V Plate). However, it states 1999 Model year. In text it states 2.3l engine, but it should be 2.4l at 265bhp not 250bhp Came with 16" or 17" wheels. 18" might be an upgrade to pegs. As you say, the dash only came in silver effect. However, it may be the real deal. At June 2000, it's likely to one of the very youngest available. Let's see if Lushman gets some pics. Oli

Hi, Shouldn't be allowed to be posting a photo of your car I would have thought. Report the blighter to eBay!!! If he has photos, why has he added a photo of your car and not one of the ones he has?? Decidedly odd I think... Des. . . ;)

if you dont have photos of your own car,, i beleive ebay do offer you stock photos that you can use,, that i presume they just drag off the internet,, as someone used photos or my car before and i reported it to ebay

I've seen some ebay sellers using some of my pics before and I've contacted ebay to get the pic removed and infact they removed the whole auction :Banane32:

Hi Guys, This is my first post, I have been reading the forums for a while now and am on the lookout for a V70R AWD in Laser Blue, ideally a 1999/2000 model. I asked the seller for pictures for the one on ebay and recieved some, as soon as i got them I ran the registration number through the RAC vehicle check pages and the info came back as a V70 AWD. Along with the other info already mentioned ie alloy sizes and bhp, I thought this could be a V70 tarted up to look like an R so I sent an email to the seller asking whether V70R AWD was in the logbook but so far have had no reply.... just thought i'd mention this in case it came back on Ebay, and it does turn out to be dodgy. Although there could be a genuine reason for the logbook to say V70, its just odd not to recieve a reply if it was genuine....
