Head Gasket?

Hi, checked my oil today and there is a creamy white sludge on the dipstick. I know this normally points to the headgasket but there is no sludge on the oil filler cap and the coolant appears ok. The car drives perfectly and warms up ok with no overheating. The car is only used for reasonably short journeys (10-15 miles usually) could this have anything to do with it. Thanks for any help.

Could try going for a good run and see if it helps, it takes a lot longer for the oil to warm up to temp compared to coolant.

Condensation in the engine due to the short runs. Worth doing a more frequnet oil and filter change than standard and as suggested ensuring weekly long runs if practical. Note you may want to get a battery conditioner also to prevent electrical gremlins through winter with many short runs, suggest OPTIMATE 3 SP. Find it on the web, use once a week over night and forget about electrical problems...

The dipstick tubes on front of engine and quiet exposed to elements, happens to alot of cars that only do short'ish journeys alot, I wouldn't worry about it
