Moving a note

Okay, I know you can do this, but I don't know how. I recorded a bass guitar part, using my DR-5. I recorded it after a drum part, some guitar parts etc. I didn't have a count in for the guitar, so the first bass note is late. It's a single note, and SHOULD be simple to move back a smidge (technical term). HOW????? I'm new at this level of editing. Thanks, Zane Schroeder

Use your selector tool and highlite the note.Zoom into the note so you can get in as close to the start and finish as possible.Create a region.Now you can slide the note either foward or back in time with your grabber tool or by nudging(+ or - on you numeric keypad). Hope this helps! See ya!!!!!!

Find the end and beginning points of the note using the zoop option and the visual expander-thing (i dont know what its called, but it makes the sound waves render larger and smaller. Its on the top-left, just right of the SHUFFLE/SLIP/GRID/SLIP buttons). Be sure you have the start and end points of your note selection at zero-crossings (where the wave crosses the middle line) to avoid pops. If you cant get the zero-crossing where you want it, zoom in all the way and draw it with the pencil. Then EDIT --> Separate Region. Be sure you are in SLIP or GRID MODE, and slide the note around where you want it. If you are in shuffle, you might end up moving the whole track and throwing off your timing.
