Syncing Click Track.?

If you want to record audio from the SR-16 you don't need a second MIDI cable. if you want to record MIDI from the SR-16 into Reaper, you need one. In the latter case, if the SR-16 would be the master and Reaper the slave, you'd also need just one. -Data

IIRC not. It's a long time ago since I had the MMT-8 which is the MIDI sequencer pendant to the SR-16. Reaper said "waiting for MTC" because the SR-16 didn't (and doesn't) send MTC. If you want to synchronize Reaper to the SR-16 you have to set it (Reaper) to "SPP" and make sure that the SR-16 sends sync via MIDI. Also, in Reaper you have to set under "Options -> Preferences -> Audio -> MIDI Devices" the MIDI device to which your SR-16 is connected to "Enable input for control messages". In the list it then shows "Enable+Control" instead of just "Enabled". Right click on the MIDI device to get to the menu, where you can set this. You have to try, whether the SPP starts at 1.1.0 every time the pattern is looped or whether it just runs on. I can't remember how the SR-16 behaves on that matter. One other thing: If Reaper is synced to the SR-16 and you start the SR-16, it may take one or two bars until Reaper starts. HTH -Data
