its driving me crazy ! i created a 733MB mpeg file wich i want to burn as vcd with nero and every time i try nero wants to write a 840MB 84mins vcd wich is of course to long. 733MB should easily fit to a vcd, i already burnt image-files up to 790MB with no problems. or does it need some additional space to create a vcd from the mpeg file ? its already a non-standard vcd stream, but its 3:40 long. anybody can help ?
I think you muxed it wrong. Try to demux it and remux it in TMPG with type on "MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)" And make sure you have the latest NERO version, which is 5.5.9.17
i demuxed the file, result is a 550MB video file and a 175MB audio file. then i muxed it as "videocd non-standard" and the result is a 2GB file ?? maybe the problem is that i used 2 pass vbr during encoding ? if i mux it with "mpeg-1 system vbr" the filesize is 733MB. not so sure anymore, maybe i accidently selected "mpeg-1 system automatic" before encoding. is this normal if you want to try vbr mode for video-cd ? is it not possible at all to write such a file as vcd ? thanks
just encoded the file with a cbr setting to see if that was the problem and the result is the same - muxed as non-standard vcd its 2GB , muxed with automatic its (as expected) 733MB, and if i try to burn the file nero wants to write 840MB data. (even if it shows the correct size before burning) ??
