DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN SLOW DOWN WAV FILES IN REAPER SUCH THAT YOU CAN LISTEN TO GUITAR PARTS AT A SLOWER TEMPO? I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS A POSSIBILITY, AND IF SO, HOW DO YOU ACHIEVE THIS? MY NAME IS GREG AND MY EMAIL IS /AIM: DRF3ELG00D (ZEROS IN G00D).
WOAH! QUITE NOISY IN HERE; AIN'T IT? YES; THAT'S POSSIBLE IN SEVERAL FLAVOURS. :) If you want to slow down/accellerate everything that's playing in your project (or the item containing the wav file in question is the only one in your project), probably the most simple approach is adjusting the playrate slider (on the transport bar). You can also adjust the playrate of each item individually, either in the item properties (F2 by default, or in the item's context menu) or by grabbing and dragging an edge of the item with the mouse while holding the ALT key (probably Command on OSX, not sure). Ah yes, and welcome to the forum, Greg. Please if possible don't TYPE ALL CAPS, because it looks af if you are SHOUTING AT US ;).

I'd like to know if this can be done, too. I can use the slider to slow the tempo, but can it be done without affecting the pitch? Is there a plugin that will slow the tempo and leave he pitch alone? Thanks, and I actually considered using no caps at all, but for the sake of grammar, decided to go for it!
