Door and water leak problems - new C70

Hi Does anyone else have problems with the passenger door electrics on a new C70? I have taken it to my local dealer (Stratstone Cardiff) twice now because the electrics seem to fail - I cannot open the door from inside or out, the window won't operate and the door mirror won't fold. Now it's gone again, the third time in two weeks. The dealer tells me that Volvo is aware of this "common" problem but can't come up with a robust solution. Also, I suffered months of water leakage because the front windscreen (which apparently has pre-drilled holes aound the edge_ didn't have the correct rubber seal suround fitted. The floor was soaking and, with water running down behind the dash, I am concerend about future electrical failure. Anyone had similar problems? Kind regards Dave

It appears your car is suffereing the same as S40 and V50 which the C70, I believe, is a close relation of. See:

If the car is brand new, id consider rejecting it TBH if they cant come up with a solution. Only problem is that it sounds like if you got a replacement you'd still have the same problem.
