MIDI Loop recording - separate Takes?

... confirmed here. Turn off FIPM (temporarily). And there's a "Toggle free item positioning" Action to which you can assign a Shortcut.

Hi DarkStar- Thanks for the quick reply. That works fine. Is there a reason loop recording in FIPM handles it this way, if you know, or do you think it's a bug? I can't see any advantage to having all of the Items contained in a single Take, but I could well be missing something. Thanks again- -Susan

Just to follow up: The same thing happens with Audio recording. It's not a big deal, more a curiosity for me (but I'd just as soon not have to remember to disable FIPM!;)) For those who use this, could you please explain the advantage of having separate Items recorded in a loop treated as single Take? Thanks! -Susan
